Completed by Elizabeth Jones in 2000, these DVD's contain thorough yet concise descriptions of each exercise.
Together they form a library of many of the Pilates-based exercises previously used at Houston's Physical Conditioning Centre.
Since each video builds on the techniques mastered in the previous, we suggest you study the DVD's in the order listed.
Basic Protocol's 5 sections lay the foundation for strength & flexibility: Standing warm-up with Fletcher Towel-work, Upper body stretches, Pre-Pilates & basic Pilates ab & back exercises, Basic exercises for legs & buttocks, Lower body stretches.
The Intermediate Protocol challenges the student to work deeper and more efficiently. This DVD also has 5 sections.
The Barrel Protocol is a complete core workout which includes a thorough teaching section of standing alignment, Fletcher Towel Work, warm-up and the barrel itself. The teaching section is followed by a challenging class with a variety of basic, intermediate and advanced movement patterns with modifications. The movement patterns on the barrel were selected from over a decade of work with Pilates Elder, Ron Fletcher. His work helped release my upper & midback reducing my low back pain.
